Church of Sensitive Satanism

This is a story which has seen plenty of media attention in recent months, particularly here in South Africa, which happens to be where we (the CoSS) are from. I don't want to duplicate what's already been covered elsewhere, so if you don't know about what happened read about it here.

The attack created a new wave of satanic hysteria in SA, where fear of satanism & witchcraft has long beared heavily on the collective psyche. This extended to things like politicians suggesting taking 'Reaper' off the air. It is both funny & sad that people would have this sort of reaction.

The perpetrator of the attack was clearly mentally disturbed and to believe that satanic forces were behind it is asinine.

The CoSS does not believe in the existence of Satan as an actual entity, so we do not believe that people can be influenced by Satan as such. We believe that society & ultimately the individuals themselves are responsible for people's actions & encourage others to work for the betterment of our planet & its people.

Two German air force sergeants are facing court martials for cannibalism after drawing their own blood to make hearty black puddings. But their commanding officers scuppered their catering sideline when one of their fellow soldiers complained: "I have been asked to give blood for sausage making and I want to know if this is against regulations. [...] The Teutonic fascination for cannibalism was first exposed at the trial of Meiwes in 2003 when he revealed a vast hidden world of would-be killers and victims who connected with one another on the Internet.

Lesbian vampire jailed for sex killing - Telegraph.co.uk

A lesbian member of a blood-drinking vampire cult and her lover have been sentenced to life in prison for the sexually-motivated murder of their housemate. Stacey took at least 45 minutes to die, but Stasinowsky later told a prison officer she wished it had lasted longer. [...] A psychologist found Parashumti, who drank blood as part of a vampire subculture, had very strong sexual sadistic tendencies and was sexually aroused by physical torture and violence.
